What is your overall experience/background?
I've been working at OGC since college. In college I worked at a bar and also worked basketball camps in the summer. In high school I sold Cutco® knives - best first sales job ever!
Memorable moment at OGC?
One of my most memorable moments was my first HPBExpo in Reno, NV. I lost $100 of OGC founder Dan Shimek's money playing craps in the casino by betting the same way he did. It is funny now but wasn't then!
Also that same show, I remember walking the aisles with my dad Steve, and we could never go more than 10 ft without him stopping to say "hi" to someone or someone saying "hi" to him.
Why do you love working at OGC?
I really like seeing the positive effect our products have on people. We are selling more than a product; we're selling a lifestyle. I love the look on the customer's face when they are sitting in OGC furniture, under an OGC pergola, next to an OGC fire table with a beverage in an OGC koozie! The picture below is what it is all about! It doesn't get much better than that!
Favorite OGC Product?
My favorite OGC products are our unique products that we currently have and the ones that are yet to come - Wave, Pointe, Marquee, Renegade, Intrigue, Boardwalk fire table. Products that make a BOOM statement!
What do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife Melissa and son Harrison. I like going to & watching sporting events, concerts, golfing, and spending time outside.
