If you're lucky enough not to live in a place that is covered in feet of ice and snow for most of the winter, hanging out outside may still be an option for you if you've got a gas fire pit table. If you haven't packed away your fire pit table for winter yet, you can absolutely still use it in January and February. Here are a few tips if you're thinking about lighting it up this winter.
- Make sure to clear away any debris that's on or around the fire pit table. Sticks, leaves, snow and other outdoor foliage may have fallen into your fire pit table throughout the fall and you want to make sure to clean it off so you've got a cleared top to produce a flame. Along with that, if you're spending a lot of time around your fire table, make sure you haven't spilled food or drink onto it either.

In all actuality, gas fire tables give off a lot more heat than a wood-burning fire pit as the flame is much hotter, so you will absolutely stay warm when you're outside, standing around the table.
- Fire pit tables don't produce smoke or ash, so your clothing won't have that smoky smell after standing around a fire pit table. Fire pit tables are also easy and quick to light and they stay lit, so you don't need to constantly 'feed' the fire or keep a backup stack of wood waiting.
- Make sure you've got plenty of seating and warm blankets. A great feature of a fire table is that they can be moved around, so your entertaining area can be somewhat mobile. Make sure to take advantage of this!
