Our Top 4 Takeaways from Casual Market Atlanta

Our Top 4 Takeaways from Casual Market Atlanta

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending Casual Market Atlanta. While there, we took the opportunity to speak with dealers and walk the trade show floor to gather information on the current state of the Casual Furniture and Outdoor Fire industries. Here are our Top 4 Takeaways from this event!

1) Curves are Trending

Sofas, chairs, you name it, they're all rounded. We saw many companies showing off collections that showed rounded corners on tables and chairs. Rounded sofas were plentiful as well.

2) Scalloped Tables are Everywhere

We often see trends that grow popular in indoor spaces eventually make their way to the outdoor industry. Scalloped tables are no exception to this trend! They were at Casual in abundance and OGC was excited to be a part of that with the debut of our new Reverie Fire Table Collection that features a scalloped aluminum base!

3) Seashell Colored Furniture a Star of the Show

While the actual name of the color may vary by manufacturer, the light tannish/greyish colored furniture (similar to our Uptown Seashell) was seen all over the show floor in all materials. Additionally earth tones like tans and browns are overtaking the long run by grey furniture.

4) Sustainability and Technological Integrations are Important to Consumers

We talked to many dealers, manufacturers and buyers who told us that there is growing demand from consumers about how manufacturers are incorporating sustainability into their products and processes. Many consumers are also seeking additional tech in their outdoor products like lights, speakers, smart home connectivity and more.
