Welcome back to our Product Spotlight series, where we highlight products across our entire offering and share design tips, specs, and insights. Today we're featuring our Ready to Finish (RTF) Fire Pits and Fireplaces, a favorite among professional builders, designers, landscapers and DIYers looking for a customizable, high-performance outdoor fire feature.
Specs
Ready to Finish products are built from Fiberock® fiber cement board and G90 marine-grade galvanized steel framing, creating a professional-grade structure engineered for demanding outdoor environments.

The defining feature of RTF products is that the final look is entirely up to you. They're designed to be finished on-site with any non-combustible material, including stone, tile, stucco, and more. This makes them a go-to choice for designers and landscapers who want full creative control over the finished aesthetic.

For fireplaces, choose between two styles: see-through or single-sided. Then select your size: 40", 60", or 72" (Note: this is the length of the firebox opening, not the overall unit length). RTF fireplaces are well-suited for both residential and commercial applications, making them a popular specification for outdoor rooms, resort amenities, and custom design projects.

Fire pits also come in two styles: linear and square. Linear options are available in five sizes: 48", 48" Tall, 60", 60" Tall, and 72". Square options are available in 48" or 60" sizes.

Additional Features
Both the RTF fireplace and fire pit offer fuel source flexibility. If you prefer a 20 lb propane tank, the 40" fireplace and the "Tall" fire pit models can accommodate a tank within the base. Note that 40" fireplace manual ignition models ship configured for liquid propane and include a natural gas conversion kit.

All RTF units, regardless of size, can run on natural gas and offer both manual and electronic ignition options, giving PRO installers the flexibility to meet a wide range of project requirements.
Both kits include everything needed for operation. RTF fireplaces come with a UL listed Crystal Fire Plus burner, pre-installed vents, a control panel, glass wind panels, a control panel cut-out, and standard clear glass gems.

RTF fire pits come equipped with a UL listed Crystal Fire Plus burner plate, aluminum top, two ventilation plates, a standard control panel, and standard clear glass gems.

Electronic ignition, fire media upgrades, external controls, timers, and emergency stop buttons are available as separately sold upgrades, popular choices among PRO builders looking to deliver a fully turnkey installation.

RTF kits start at $2,519 and range up to $8,949 depending on size, style, and ignition system, making them a competitive option for both budget-conscious projects and high-end custom builds.
Many customers, including professional landscapers, who purchase RTF fire pits also add a glass wind guard, providing an extra layer of protection while enhancing the ambience of the flame.

Important Considerations
Both RTF fireplaces and fire pits are among the larger units in our lineup. We recommend confirming you have ample space to install and safely operate these units before purchasing. For complex installations, working with a professional builder or landscaper is strongly advised.
Depending on your planned installation location, you'll also want to verify that you're meeting the required safety clearances. Full clearance specifications are available in the product manual.

For fireplaces, we strongly recommend running a dedicated electrical line to the unit. While a battery pack option is available for the electrical components, larger fireplaces draw more power and will deplete batteries more quickly. A professional electrician should handle this work where required by local code. For additional guidance, download our Ready to Finish Fireplace FAQ guide.
